Creating artwork & doing crafts are huge in our household. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, so my kids have been doing the same since they were little. There is never any shortage of markers, crayons, paints, and blank paper in our house. I really need to figure out a system for keeping their artwork. There are piles of them! I eventually want to photograph each one, and only keep originals of the favorites. That's going to be a big task. Someday.
Over the break, I got Lauren her first latch hook kit. I used to love doing that in my pre-teens so I was happy to get her started on a small project. She is still working on it. And I got designated to take out my crochet hook and make a blanket for her 5 groovy girl dolls to share. :) So that afternoon, we were all doing our little projects. It was a nice break from paper-crafting for me.

Lauren and Ian are now back at school. I had such a fun time hanging out with these two all week long.
Getting up this morning was not easy at all! Anyone else? (Oh wait, that is me every morning. Not a morning person. The kids have inherited the same trait, too.)
