A few things...

Goodness, gracious, it's September already!

Been busy with several things lately.

I have a new class starting soon and it is sketch-related.  :D  Watch out for details to that tomorrow.

I just added something new to the boutique, too.  This one was a special request by someone who wanted a bag to put her Scarlet Lime purse organizer in -- so that everything coordinates!  I thought that was a fab idea.  (Thanks, Lisa!)

So this little seamstress made it and loved it.   Black and white is such a basic combo, too!  I want one!

Christy's Class

So, today is day four of "Eye for Design."  One word:  Inspirational.

Thought you'd want to see a bit of what the members are seeing in class.

With three challenges a week, everyone is keeping busy.  

Although class has started, you may sign up anytime during or shortly after the class ends.

The premise of this workshop is to inspire you to step out of your COLOR comfort zone when designing scrapbook pages. Christy teaches you where to find color inspiration; shares her own design process; and then poses a challenge to members three times a week. To play along with the challenge-- you can create a page using similar color schemes or design your own color scheme based on the process Christy has shared. Follow along with each challenge to learn valuable tips, tricks and design insight from one of the industry's most talented artists!

We just opened the private classroom last Friday.  I can already feel the excitement from the members.  If you have taken a Got Sketch class before, the format will be familiar.  It's great to be reunited with many friends and make new ones.

We are very thrilled to kick this class off tomorrow.  Janna, Christy, and I will be around throughout the duration of the class.  You will LOVE it.  When I say it is packed with content, I am not exaggerating.  This is a class you can apply to your design knowledge over and over and over.  The downloads are top-notch as you have come to expect from Got Crafts.  Plus, Christy releases some videos to further guide you.  It's awesome!

Cobwebs on my blog

LOL, I know I haven't been great with blog updates. Cobwebs are actually building up on here. ;P 

My kids were on spring break last week so I've been spending lots more quality time with them, which I love.  I was actually a bit sad when they returned back to school this week.   

And of course, I'm keeping busy with a few things:

• Got Sketch continues with its weekly sketch reveals, known designer contributors, challenges, & prizes this month.
• Janna and I have been working on some things with Got Crafts!  Did you hear about this?  More info on this coming very, very soon.
• And another guest instructor will be launching something as well through Got Crafts.  So lots of behind-the-scenes work going on. 
• I have another kit that will be available shortly through a scrapbook store (not in Indy).  It's a 2-page 12x12 kit featuring some adorable paper-piecing accents! 
• My "Celebrate" birthday mini book kit is also available.  Check out this card I made using the leftover products from this kit:

Got Crafts Updates (and a Drawing!)

As we turn the calendar to 2009, why not kick off the NEW YEAR with a crafty calendar?  Just wanted to share 2 new downloads that are available at Got Crafts?    Janna and I each designed a NEW downloadable calendar that is available for immediate download!  I created a desktop calendar and Janna did a cool "Dates to Remember" calendar book.  These would make such great gifts for someone special!

The DOWNLOADS section of our Got Crafts? site is all about downloadable project ideas and inspiration.  What that means for you is that with just a few clicks of the mouse, you can have a crafty project to create and an afternoon (or late night :) of creative bliss!  All of the current downloads are $16 and are available in a pdf format.  Downloads include numerous process and finished product photos, supply lists, instructions and helpful tips.  I think you'll really love these cool projects!  Take a looky if you have some time.
