Needle, thread, and fabric -- is all that on my crafty mind these days.
Valerie, the paper crafter, has temporarily left the building. Wherever she is, the seamstress Val has taken over! ;)
My latest project is one that had been needing my attention for a while -- well, each time i would open pantry #2.
My stash of plastic grocery bags has turned into eyesore of a
"before" picture.
(Pardon the untidy pantry.)One can never have enough plastic bags around the house. I use them all the time.
Now, I made a pretty grocery bag dispenser that suits my needs -- one that can hold lots of bags. Not just your average skinny tubular one. I made an extra wide tubular dispenser! It's almost like a small vertical duffel bag. Just pull your plastic bag from the bottom, then refills go on top. Neat, huh?
Here is the "after" picture: (ah, much better)
Now, doesn't that make you want to make your own? :)
Dust off those sewing machines and make something!
..........
Since I was in a sewing mood all weekend, I got busy with more
purse org sets and
key fobs. Ah, I am finally all caught up!
Here's one of them:
This one is named after my mom, Pia. :)

Wanted to share this recipe of banana muffins that I baked yesterday. Super quick, easy, and it tastes awesome!
Seems like I always end up with a few super ripe bananas that need rescuing. Do you have any great recipes to share to utilize ripe bananas?
Banana Muffins (makes 12 muffins)
3 or 4 Large bananas, mashed
1/2 cup white sugar (you can add more if you want it sweeter)
1 slightly beaten egg
1/3 cup melted margarine or butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups flour
Mix the mashed banana, sugar, egg and margarine together. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour. Mix wet and dry ingredients all together, being careful not to over-stir! Pour into greased muffin tins (or paper baking cups), and bake in 350 degrees oven for approximately 20 minutes.
